About the Aegean Hawks F.C.

The Aegean Hawks Football Club was established in 1996 by local Greek and Cypriot university students. Since 1996 the Aegean Hawks won three consecutive division championships, ultimately gaining a Spring 2000 promotion to the Premier division of the Washington International Soccer League (WISL). In Fall of 2003, the premier division separated from the WISL to form the Washington Premier League.

The Hawks mercurial rise to the top amateur soccer division in the Washington DC metro area allowed them to quickly establish a reputation for excellence. While the original Greek and Cypriot team members have stopped playing or returned to their homeland, the remaining Hawks endeavor to continue the strong winning tradition of the club.

The goal of the club is simply to compete at the highest level that we can achieve, enjoying the beautiful game and all that it has to offer.
