Spring 2008 - Hawks Look to Take Flight in Region I & Beyond
After claiming their fourth straight WPL championship this Fall and earning MDCVSA state titles in both 2008 National Cups qualifiers, the Hawks are looking forward to the challenges that await. Regional competition in the National Cups will pit the Hawks against the best Region I has to offer, while a reinvigorated WPL table will surely challenge the Hawks' dominance.

Terrill Cup First Round: Hawks Down Wobblers
(Washington, DC - 2 PM - Catholic University)
The Hawks began their Terrill Cup campaign against two-time defending Terrill Cup champions, Wobblers FC. The Wobblers have been the top First Division WISL side for the last couple of seasons and were sure to give the depleted Hawks a run for their money. In a hard fought battle, the Hawks took a 2-0 lead only to squander and have Wobblers equalize in the second half. The Hawks took the lead again with Ryan Rich's third goal of the match, but Wobblers answered shortly thereafter, setting the tone for a dramatic finish. Victory was assured by a deft shot by rookie Nate Adams late in the game to seal the 4-3 victory.

The Hawks will play in the Quarterfinals against ABGC Ragtime next Saturday, 11 am at Catholic University..
