Oct. 5th,
2003: Hawks 2 – Quilmes – 0 Hawks dominated the game - must have had 20 shots
on goal to Quilmes' 5 or so. Couldn't buy a finish though, until
Antonio Paz slammed home a rebound goal in the 81st minute. A clinical
turn and strike from 22 yards by Zeus Martin in the 87th gave a
well- deserved two goal margin for the Hawks 4th win of the season.
Richard Shaheen played an incredible game on the outside flanks
for an injured Jon Knight and the entire defensive front was solid
and shut down the opponents attack. The team played smart possession
ball and were rewarded for keeping a constant pressure on before
the first goal came. Antonio gets MVP for slamming home the game-winner.
