2004: Hawks 0 – LCC – 5
An undermanned Hawks squad took
the pitch against WPL league power LCC International on Oct 23rd
in a 5 PM twilight matchup. With only 6 players on the sideline
5 minutes prior to kickoff and missing some key players, the Hawks
were not prepared for an LCC team that was ready for a top tier
battle. The Hawks fell 0-5 in one of the most embarrassing performances
ever by the team.
A 15 minute, three goal barage
by LCC started in the 10th minute, taking advantage of a shuffled
Hawks lineup. LCC had all the possession in the game and there was
few bright spots to mention for the Hawks. In the second half, the
Hawks were able to muster some better play, but as we kept throwing
more bodies forward, LCC was able to score two more to officially
declare the match a drubbing.
